Trail Daze of Summer Work Party at Walden’s Ridge

We all use the trails—so let’s take care of them together!

Join SORBA Chattanooga, Southeastern Climbers Coalition (SCC), and Hamilton County Parks & Recreation for a collaborative trail work day at Walden’s Ridge Park. We’re teaming up to tackle key maintenance projects including trimming back corridor vegetation, rock armoring and stabilizing spur trails. Whether you ride, hike, or climb at Walden’s Ridge, this is a great chance to give back.

What to Expect:
We’ll split into small crews for targeted trail work including lopping, corridor clearing, and heavy rock work. SCC is coordinating logistics and waivers—please be sure to sign up through their site.

Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (ET)
Location: Walden’s Ridge Park – Lower Trailhead
Project Focus: Lopperpalooza + Rock Work

What to Bring:

  • Work gloves

  • Reusable water bottle (hydration is key!)

  • Snacks or lunch

  • Bug spray & sunscreen

What to Wear:

  • Sturdy closed-toe shoes

  • Long pants & sleeves recommended for protection
