Weekly Group Rides

Ride with the community. Every week.
From shop rides to partner-led meetups, weekly group rides are happening all the time—and they’re one of the best ways to meet people and get connected. We’ve gathered them all in one place so they’re easy to find anytime.

Dirt Ops Group Ride (Walden’s Ridge)

DIRT OPS is a veteran-led riding group built for those who still crave challenge, camaraderie, and purpose after the uniform comes off. Operating under the SORBA umbrella, DIRT OPS creates a place where veterans—of all eras and all experience levels—can come together on the trail. Whether you’re an experienced rider or brand new to mountain biking, this is about getting outside, pushing yourself just enough, and riding alongside people who understand where you’ve been without needing an explanation.

Social Ride + Member Meeting with Shred Bank

It’s time for a member meet up and social ride! If you’ve been wondering what SORBA Chattanooga has been up to and looking for a really fun group to ride with, this event is for you!

We’ll start at Clever Alehouse at 6 pm with a parking lot huddle and some real talk on what SORBA Chattanooga's accomplished this year, what we're working on, and how you can get involved. No fluff—just the good stuff about trails, stewardship, and community.

Then we'll roll out with the Shred Bank crew for a group ride and hot lap at Stringers Ridge. Fun, social, all paces welcome.

Back at Clever after the ride: $3 Fox Lagers, food, and cold beers with 10% of the night’s sales directly supporting SORBA Chattanooga's trail work. Win-win.

Members, non-members, new riders—all welcome. Come for the stoke, stay for the singletrack.

When: August 13, 6–8 PM
Where: Clever Alehouse, then Stringers Ridge Trails

Aetna Mountain Trails Phase II Trail Opening

Mark your calendars: Phase II of Aetna Mountain is officially opening, and we want our whole community out there to celebrate! A total of 8 miles are now built, and every foot is adaptive MTB friendly.

The celebration kicks off at 3:30 PM with a ribbon cutting and dedication, followed by a chance to ride the new trails alongside Aetna Trail Ambassadors and SORBA Chattanooga. We're talking roughly 8 miles of fresh, modern singletrack built as multi-use loop trails with a twist: two completely different riding experiences depending on which direction you roll.

This adaptive-friendly milestone didn't happen by accident. Working with feedback and past consultation from Catalyst Sports, the Tennessee River Gorge Trust team and volunteers also went back through Phase I to complete reroutes and improvements, so the entire system is now adaptive-friendly, top to bottom.

This is what community-built trails look like. Come ride both directions, meet the people behind the dirt, and see what stewardship and stoke can build together.
