2026 Five Points 50 MTB Race

5 Points 50 is Chattanooga's oldest mountain bike race that traverses Lula lake Land Trust and Cloudland Canyon State Park trail systems across Lookout Mountain. Whether you're in it to win it or want to ride the party pace with your friends, this race has a little something for everyone! With a 50-mile and 25-mile option, Racers will enjoy a grueling course packed with single track, climbs, downhills, rock gardens, and smooth flowy trails. Starting at Lula Lake Land Trust’s Core Preserve, riders will quickly begin making their way to the 5 Points Trail system and Durham Mine Trails, then back to LLLT via the Cloudland Connector Trail and Moonshine Trails. This race is sure to bring incredible views, amazing trails, and a heck of a good time!

Not into a grueling race, come join the fun on the core preserve. There will be camping, food, live music, kids race, shake out rides and an after party. It’s not very often you get a chance to camp at Lula Lake and have access to their trails and waterfalls. Bring the whole family and spend the whole weekend. 1885 will be serving food all weekend long to racers and campers.

All proceeds from the 5 Points 50/25 support Lula Lake Land Trust’s trail building and maintenance efforts. Lula Lake has built over 60-miles of trail on their properties across Lookout Mountain, including the Moonshine trails, Cloudland Connector Trail, and the Durham Mine Trails.

Aetna Mountain Trails Phase II Trail Opening

Aetna Mountain Trails Phase II Trail Opening

Mark your calendars: Phase II of Aetna Mountain is officially opening, and we want our whole community out there to celebrate! A total of 8 miles are now built, and every foot is adaptive MTB friendly.

The celebration kicks off at 3:30 PM with a ribbon cutting and dedication, followed by a chance to ride the new trails alongside Aetna Trail Ambassadors and SORBA Chattanooga. We're talking roughly 8 miles of fresh, modern singletrack built as multi-use loop trails with a twist: two completely different riding experiences depending on which direction you roll.

This adaptive-friendly milestone didn't happen by accident. Working with feedback and past consultation from Catalyst Sports, the Tennessee River Gorge Trust team and volunteers also went back through Phase I to complete reroutes and improvements, so the entire system is now adaptive-friendly, top to bottom.

This is what community-built trails look like. Come ride both directions, meet the people behind the dirt, and see what stewardship and stoke can build together.

Social Ride x Litespeed Bike Launch Party

Social Ride x Litespeed Bike Launch Party

Something new is rolling into Raccoon Mountain, and you're invited to be the first to see it.

Litespeed is dropping a brand new bike! A brand new, never-before-seen, beautiful bike, and we're celebrating the only way we know how: with a group ride, demo bikes, good food, cold drinks, and your favorite trail crew.

What to expect:

First Look — Be among the very first riders in Chattanooga (or anywhere) to lay eyes on Litespeed's newest addition to their MTB lineup. Litespeed has been hand-building titanium bikes right here in Chattanooga for 40 years. Come meet the folks behind the scenes, learn about the process, and feel what titanium rides like on the trail.

Demo It — Get your hands (and tires) on the new bike before anyone else. Demo bikes available first come, first serve (not guaranteed). Bring your own bike and helmet to ride.

Group Rides — Roll out with the SORBA, Handup, and Litespeed crews for rides that work for all skill levels. Leave from Laurel Point and choose your adventure.

Food & Drinks — Cookout starts at 7 PM. Handup's bringing the cold drinks post-ride. Because trail time hits different with a full belly and a cold one after.

Friends — This one's for the community. Come ride, hang out with old friends, meet some new ones, and celebrate with the people who make Chattanooga's trails what they are.

Bonus: You'll have a chance to win the brand new bike in our Fall Bike Sweepstakes.

This is a can't-miss night for anyone who loves bikes, trails, and being first in line for something good.

When: August 19, 6–8 PM (meet at 6:00 PM EDT)
Where: Laurel Point, Raccoon Mountain
What to bring: Your bike, your helmet, and your hype

Note: Raccoon gates close at 8:30 PM, so we'll wrap up by then. RSVP for food counts is helpful but not required.

Handup brings the party. Litespeed brings the bikes. SORBA brings the stoke.
