Dirt Ops Trail Work Party + Group Ride (Raccoon Mountain)
DIRT OPS is a veteran-led riding group built for those who still crave challenge, camaraderie, and purpose after the uniform comes off. Operating under the SORBA umbrella, DIRT OPS creates a place where veterans—of all eras and all experience levels—can come together on the trail. Whether you’re an experienced rider or brand new to mountain biking, this is about getting outside, pushing yourself just enough, and riding alongside people who understand where you’ve been without needing an explanation.

Join us for a 15-mile group mountain bike ride and preview sections of the Five Points 50/25 race course. Open to everyone!

Pride Ride with Greenhouse Growlerz

Mountaintown Bicycles is hosting its grand opening celebration on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. EDT at 5337 Ringgold Road, Chattanooga, TN. The event features, refreshments, brand vendors, and a Specialized P.4 bike giveaway, with SORBA Chattanooga also in attendance.

Godsey Ridge Trails Grand Opening
The Godsey Ridge Trail System in Red Bank officially opens Sunday, April 19! Join the City of Red Bank and community partners for the ribbon cutting, then be among the first to explore the trails on a guided hike or bike ride.
Day of Caring - Stringer's Ridge Trail Maintenance
We’re partnering with Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors for Spring Day of Caring on April 17, to show Stringer's Ridge some love. We plan on cutting back overgrowth to improve sight lines on the hiking/biking trails, picking up litter, restoring trail features through landscaping, and more.
Chattanooga Outdoor Festival
Experience the 3rd Annual Chattanooga Outdoor Festival on April 11, 2026 at the Choo Choo Gardens & Station Street. This free, family-friendly outdoor event features 75+ vendors, live music, gear demos, activities for all ages, and celebrates Chattanooga’s vibrant outdoor community. 2026 SORBA Summit
Join SORBA’s volunteers, land managers, advocates, and members in Belmont, NC, for five days full of trail stewardship. Workshops, presentations, panels, networking, socials, bike riding, and lots of fun will be had by all. This year, we will focus on communications, marketing, and sustainability.
The Summit will begin on Thursday, April 2nd, with an opening social at Primal Brewing. Friday and Saturday conference sessions will cover topics designed to inspire our volunteers and connect land managers to the mission of our organization. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Our Summit will be held at the Daniel Stowe Conservancy, an incredible venue outside of Charlotte, NC, and close to the Carolina Thread Trail.

Wild Trails Flipper Bend Half Marathon & 5 Mile Trail Race
This race is a joint collaboration of Wild Trails, the North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy and Flipper Bend Community. All proceeds will go to the trail maintenance of the Flipper Bend state natural area and the North Chickamauga Creek section of the Cumberland Trail. Join us for a beautiful 1/2 marathon or 5-mile trail run on the back of Signal Mountain on the Flipper Bend Trails. Thank you and we can't wait to see you at the end of March!
Trails In Bloom - Hike or Bike ESNP
Spring into nature with a guided bike ride or hike hosted by Save ESNP and SORBA Chattanooga at Enterprise South Nature Park on March 21 from 2–4 PM, in partnership with Save ESNP.
This event is a chance to celebrate the Spring Equinox and a huge win for our community—the park staying intact, continued access to trails, and the organizations and advocates who worked behind the scenes to help protect this special place.

One of Velo Vixens’ most popular annual events returns this spring. Join us in celebrating International Women’s Day with a women-only mountain bike ride or hike at Lula Lake Land Trust.
This special event offers exclusive access to Lula Lake’s scenic trails—typically closed to the public—for a day focused on connection, confidence, and community.

IMBA Trail Care School
We’re excited to share that SORBA Chattanooga was selected as one of only four organizations nationwide to host a 20-person IMBA Trail Care School! The training will take place at Enterprise South Nature Park in partnership with Hamilton County Parks and Recreation on February 28 and March 1, 2026.
2026 Annual Member Meeting
Join us for an evening of trail talk and good times at the Greenhouse Taproom on Monday, February 24th from 6-8 PM. We’re bringing the stoke with free beer (first 50 folks age 21+ get one), appetizers, and chapter updates. We’ll take a look back at what we accomplished in 2024 and share exciting plans for 2025. Our annual meetings are also a great opportunity to connect with fellow riders who share your passion for the trails. There will be a food truck on site as well for folks to purchase dinner.
