2026 Five Points 50 MTB Race

5 Points 50 is Chattanooga's oldest mountain bike race that traverses Lula lake Land Trust and Cloudland Canyon State Park trail systems across Lookout Mountain. Whether you're in it to win it or want to ride the party pace with your friends, this race has a little something for everyone! With a 50-mile and 25-mile option, Racers will enjoy a grueling course packed with single track, climbs, downhills, rock gardens, and smooth flowy trails. Starting at Lula Lake Land Trust’s Core Preserve, riders will quickly begin making their way to the 5 Points Trail system and Durham Mine Trails, then back to LLLT via the Cloudland Connector Trail and Moonshine Trails. This race is sure to bring incredible views, amazing trails, and a heck of a good time!

Not into a grueling race, come join the fun on the core preserve. There will be camping, food, live music, kids race, shake out rides and an after party. It’s not very often you get a chance to camp at Lula Lake and have access to their trails and waterfalls. Bring the whole family and spend the whole weekend. 1885 will be serving food all weekend long to racers and campers.

All proceeds from the 5 Points 50/25 support Lula Lake Land Trust’s trail building and maintenance efforts. Lula Lake has built over 60-miles of trail on their properties across Lookout Mountain, including the Moonshine trails, Cloudland Connector Trail, and the Durham Mine Trails.

Five Points 50/25 Course Preview Ride with Lula Lake

Get ready to dial in your lines and explore the best terrain Lookout Mountain has to offer with SORBA Chattanooga and Lula Lake Land Trust as we lead a series of Five Points 50/25 Course Preview Rides leading up to the big race on Oct. 25th! Whether you're racing this year or just want to experience some epic trails with a solid crew, these preview rides are for you. Can't make this one? No worries- we will be hosting multiple group rides throughout the year, and each ride will showcase different sections of the course and give you a chance to get comfortable with the terrain before race day.

About the ride: This ride will be 8 miles with an elevation gain of 850 vertical feet. The course will be marked so you can choose to ride ahead of the group or stay behind. The section of the race course covered will include the trails on Lula Lake's Core Preserve property. These trails are mostly single track with a combination of long climbs, downhills, technical rock gardens, and smooth flowy trails. These rides will roll at a social pace, but the terrain is no joke—expect a mix of flow, roots, and climbs that will keep you on your toes. No one will be left behind!
