Dirt Ops Trail Work Party + Group Ride (Raccoon Mountain)

  • Raccoon Mountain 3800 Raccoon Mountain Road Chattanooga, TN 37419 United States (map)

DIRT OPS is a veteran-led riding group built for those who still crave challenge, camaraderie, and purpose after the uniform comes off. Operating under the SORBA umbrella, DIRT OPS creates a place where veterans—of all eras and all experience levels—can come together on the trail. Whether you’re an experienced rider or brand new to mountain biking, this is about getting outside, pushing yourself just enough, and riding alongside people who understand where you’ve been without needing an explanation.

Life after service can feel disconnected. The structure is gone, the team is scattered, and the edge that once drove you has nowhere to go. DIRT OPS isn’t therapy—and it isn’t a support group in the traditional sense. It’s a mission built around movement, skill, and shared experience. Trails demand focus. Riding demands presence. And the challenge of learning, progressing, and overcoming obstacles—together—creates something familiar: trust, confidence, and belonging.

At its core, DIRT OPS is about veterans riding with veterans. No pressure. No labels. Just dirt, bikes, effort, and a community that shows up. If you’re looking for a place to reconnect, stay sharp, and be part of something that feels real again, we’ll see you on the trail.

Ready to Ride?

If you’re a veteran looking for a crew, a challenge, or a reason to get back on the trail, DIRT OPS is open to you. Whether you’re new to mountain biking or already experienced, there’s a place for you here.

No Drop Group ride leaving from the lower parking lot at about 1030. Plan on meeting up at Mean King Brewing after for food and beers.
